It's that time of the year again -- time to rant about AWA! :D This year was a rather odd year, in both good & bad ways. Had a few bad experiences due to various things, but fortunately I think the panels and guests made up for that. Friday Got off to an awkward start Friday. I ventured into Artist Alley as soon as it opened at 10am and saw someone I really don't like running a booth there. It's that time of the year again -- time for a rant about AWA! AMV Contest Good news! Our video won "Best Instrumental" for the Expo Contest! Can't even begin to describe how happy I was when The Grid popped up on the projector screen. I felt kinda dumb though for making a One Piece joke (was wearing my old Luffy cosplay this year with the Strawhat flag as a cape lol) when I went to go accept the award and nobody caught the reference ^^; New objective: create more One Piece fans. After sacrificing about 2-3 weeks of my life, we finally got our amv done on time with 2 minutes to spare lol! No seriously, we uploaded the video to the submission website with literally 2 minutes left before the deadline. We're taking a chance this year and decided to submit to the pro contest instead of the expo like last year. Though last year's pro contest was rather underwhelming, I'm expecting a lot of competition this year. The video is heavily inspired by Tron: Legacy (hence our song choice lol), but is much more abstract.
