Memorable Movie Credits

Fri Oct 16, 2009, 11:18 PM
  • Mood: Tired
  • Listening to: Europe - The Final Countdown
So I can get my last journal of my page because its cool and because its 3am and I have nothing better to do ^^; here are 10 of my favorite movie credits sequences (opening or closing). I know there are a number of other films with excellent credits, but these are my favorites because I think they're inventive or just really stand out from the rest of the pack in terms of execution, design, and style and in some cases were actually better than the movie itself:

10. Monty Python's The Life of Brian (opening)
9. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (closing)
8. The Naked Gun (opening)
7. Goldeneye (opening)
6. Muppet Treasure Island (opening)
5. Batman [1989] (opening)
4. Terminator 2 (opening)
3. Watchmen (opening)
2. Se7en (opening)
1. Spawn (opening & closing)

Thanks for the Fave! And by the way, Big Trouble In Little China was a pretty good movie... :-)

Your welcome, and yes it is a fun film :D

I wish I understood Apophysis. I have it, but I can't do any scripting for it like everyone on DA does.

Apophysis is one of the easier programs to use I think and I use the "mutations" as my highway in finding new and interesting pieces. Give it a try...lots of fun. :-)

Cool. I thought about recommending switching the girl's position like you did, but wasn't sure if that'd go against the design you had going. But if it works for you, awesome :)

I know. I'll get back to planning that during the break. Just having to get lots of shit together so I pass portfolio prep. Getting final copies of my stuff sent to my audio guy and back, need to edit my demo reel, gather all my paperwork for my production book, and I still need to revamp my website before my faculty review. Lots to do, but I promise I will get back to that.

As far as that project goes, again like I mentioned before, it's gonna be mostly abstract, surreal imagery--kind of like the opening 2 acts of Fantasia in a sense, but with a darker tone to it.
